In commemoration of the eighth anniversary of the death of the famous artist, writer and filmmaker Humayun Ahmed, various television channels are used for a variety of programs, such as a music show, a television drama and a film – mostly written and directed by a bookkeeper.
The channel will release a film by Humayun Ahmed ‘Noy Number Bipod Sanket’ at 3: 5 pm today. The film features Asaduzzaman Noor, Rajmat Ali, Callenger, Jayanta Chattopadhyay, Parveen Sultana Diti, Tania Ahmed, Shadhin Khosru and Maznun Mizan, among others. The channel will also touch on the popular Humayun Ahmed radio drama ‘Mayabati’ at 7:50 pm today. Directed by Humayun Ahmed, drama stars Mahfuz Ahmed, Bipasha Ahmed, Faruq Ahmed, Dihan and Mozammel Hossain, among others.
In memory of the drama connoisseur, NTV will broadcast live interviews entitled ‘Believe Janala’ at 9pm. Well-known actors Abul Hayat, Tariq Anam Khan and Dr. Ejajul Islam, who had the opportunity to work closely with Humayun Ahmed, will take part as guests at the show. By joining the show, they will share their fond memories of Ahmed and highlight the life and work of the famous director-turned-actor. The exhibition will be developed by Mousumi Mou.
Meanwhile, Mad Theater, a popular theater group, will have a commemorative show called ‘Bhalobashi Humayun’ on Facebook at 9pm.
Young singer Nandita will perform on the Facebook live show titled ‘Ghore Bose Gaan Shonabo’, hosted by Prothom Alo, at 10.30pm. Recalling a brilliant producer who enriched the world with Bengali songs with many beautiful songs, Nandita will sing several popular Humayun Ahmed songs such as Amar Bhanga Ghorer Bhanga Chala ‘,’ Je Thake Ankhi Pallaba ‘,’ Amar Ache Jol ‘,’ Cholo Na Brishti-te Bijhi ‘and ‘Jodi Mon Kade’.
